I’m glad you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet. Reading is my favorite pastime, and I read just about anything—novels, poetry, ghazals, Wikipedia articles, newspapers, you name it. For me, there’s no such thing as a favorite genre, book, or writer yet; I am still exploring. My blog, much like my reading habit, will have no fixed theme. Why I Write

There isn’t really a reason behind why I write. It all started as a habit of keeping a diary—a place to process and catalog my experiences. Over time, those diary entries evolved into poetry. One day, I felt like writing beyond the pages of my personal notebook, and now I find myself here, sharing my words with you. I realized that everything seems a little more all right when it’s touched by art—by beauty.

Today, a dead bird sings the song of life.

In the daunting dusk, I see the light,

Standing so far away.

Do you wait for me,

Or will I be hunted back to my grave?

How can I fly? How can I fly?

But oh, my bird,

Who told you every bird is to fly?

Look at your wings—are they too thick or thin?

Tell me, who fed you this lie?

Can I fly? Can I fly?

Now, behold a quiet river,

Cold and dark blue, deeper than the sky.

A dead bird has nothing to lose—

So I jumped; oh, I will fly till I die.

I can fly. I can fly.
